hey for some reason when i try to download this dll file
its says that it has been blocked because my safety zone was to high so i made it low and it still didn't work any help

I said, give us the EXACTLY error message,not in your own language.
And you don't need to open dll file.just register it.
If you can't open ".zip" file, download winzip or other unzip software (search in google).

to regsiter this file:
copy file to windowssystem32 folder then start-run and wrtite:
"regsvr32 /i [comond line]d3dx9_27.dll"

for example:
"regsvr32 /i C:WINDOWSsystem32d3dx9_27.dll"

relax, it's easy to resolve. Please disable your anti-virus software before download the dll. Then extract the zip file you downloaded. And register it. Please refer icg's message, that's exactly how to register it.

When i try to play my game it gives me this message: This application has failed to start because d3dx9_27.ll was not found. Re-instaling the application may fix this problem.

Okay so i downloaded the thingy ding. What is windows/system32/ ? How do I get there? And once I do get there, how do I copy the thingy ding to windows/system32/ ? Please help me! .

Go to "my computer"(icon on your desktop), c:/, you will find windows folder, under this folder , you can find system32 folder.
And copy and paste.
and don't forget to register it.

Okay so I got this file downloaded so I could play spore. I unzipped it then coppied it to windows/system32 and it went good so far until I went to run the program and it gave the error message "d3dx9 was loaded, but the dllregisterServer Entrypoint was not found" smilies/undecided.gif

Is there something to resolve this problem? smilies/cry.gif

Hi Florian, i just installed a game on a fresh system and it gave me this whenever i try to launch the program:

"The application or DLL C:WINDOWSsystem32d3dx9_27.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."

And you need to tell me your DirectX's version. Please:

* Go to the Windows START Menu.
* Select RUN.
* Type dxdiag and click OK.
a pop-up window will show, click yes.
This tool will check DirectX for you(this dll is part of it).At main window,you can see "DirectX Version",please tell me which version it is,it's very important for games.

the game is Oblivion, i've had no problems with it prior to running it on this new system.

Anyways i've figured it out, the file "d3dx9_27.dll" apparently exists in my directory, just that it's probably corrupted or broken in some ways.

i simply removed that and reinstalled the DirectX that came with the game and now it's fine.

Of course you don't have file called windowssystem32,it's a folder.
Default, it should under c:windowssystem32, copy the file here.

I'm a spore user and I keep getting the error that d3dx9_27.dll is missing or whatever so I copied the file that I downloaded here and then when I went to register it says that the module cant be found and stuff! I also registered it both ways, putting the command line like ICG said and also the way at the top. They both give me errors. I reinstalled and Spore still gives me the same message. What am I doing wrong? I tried reinstalling DirectX but it says I have low memory, but I dont? I'm confused.

. I just rebooted my entire computer because Personal Anti Virus gave me 4 trojan viruses smilies/angry.gif

. So i just reinstalled Spore, when this pops up, "Alert! Could not create the graphics device. Direct X is not available[1002]", smilies/cry.gif

I've just read up, and found something... Aperintly someone was having troble with their Oblivion game. I think my problem is that i can't get to the Directx that comes with my spore game. When i installed it i also installed the EA Download Manager. The EADM told me that the file (the directx) was a threat to my comp, so i clicked continue blocking. Is there any way i can get the directx back? smilies/sad.gif

I downloaded and copied the file to system32. but when i try to register it i get this message:

The module "d3dx9_27.dll" may not be compatible with the version of Windows that you're running. Check if the module is compatible with an x86(32-bit) or x64(64-bit) version of regsvr32.exe.

I have Windows 7 64-bit, is this file compatible with that version?

Well i got that the file copied to the right spot since i'm using Windows 7 64 bit version but now i got a new problem. IDK how to register the file. When i try to open Spore this message pops up now:

Could not find a needed package.
The data directory is missing or corrupt.[1004]

What do I do now????
