d3dx9_26.dll may not be exported, or a corrupted version of d3dx9_26.dll may be in memory. Consider using Pview to detect the file and remove it.
Please search for d3dx9_26.dll in your computer, tell me how much result you found.

Just download the dll file, and copy it under windows/system32 folder, register it.(See the above page, have details).
If this not work, try to copy this dll error under your game's folder.

I've same problem, can run NFS, it said "this application has failed to start because D3DX9_26.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".

How can I fix the problem, and from which site can I download the DLL program? and how can I copy the dll file under windows/system32 folder (I mean how can I locate this folder in my computer)???.

Hi, H:
You should read this page carefully.
If you don't change the default path, the windows/system32 folder should under
c:/
Just copy the dll file you downloaded here, and register it.
You can see how to register the dll at the top of this page.
After you register, this error should be gone.

if nfsmw's error message is not about this dll,means the program works well.
Some games ask you insert cd-rom to make sure you've bought the game.not just borrow from other guys and setup on your computer.

after goin thru all comments i did wat is required that is i downloaded the dll file xtracted the rar file nd then copied the file to system 32 then a msg pops up sayin the module " d3dx9_26.dll " was loaded but the entry-point dllregister server was not found. make sure that " d3dx9_26.dll" is valid dll or ocx file and then try again please help me out guys

im trying to run a ps1 emulator but every time i try to run just the emulator it gives me the d3dx9_26.dll not found message. i downloaded the file and when i ran the regsvr32 it said:
