when i start my laptop up, it doesnt come up with the welcome screen, it comes up with the old log-in log-out system and i want to change it back. i went to control panel to change it back and it said i cant change it back because of the RtlGina2.dll... what does this mean and what do i have to do to get it back to normal?

But he said "i went to control panel to change it back", so it means he can using control panel, so I think he can enter the os system.

missing RtlGina2.dll, cannot boot windows.. It shows me this error and restarts the computer. "The Logon user interface DLL RtlGina2.dll failed to load" Same thing in safe mode.

I cannot get into windows.

Hi,Anthony:
As the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key" which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" . Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.
Go to Start>run,input "regedit",press enter.
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows NT/Current Version/WINLOGON
Delete the key "GINAdll".

I have the same problem. After I installed the wireless adapter, the welcome screen was disabled. In an attempt to fix it, I shifted the RtlGina.dll to my desktop. The OS doesn't load at all. I have tried command prompt, but because the account I was using was not the primary/original account, I get the "Access is Denied" when trying to COPY.

Is there any way around it?

Worked under safe mode with comand prompt. It asked for an account login, so as admin it was no problem. I ran it from a USB drive and it detected and fixed the problem. 1,000,000 thanks!

Hello, I have the same problem but i cant open the OS under any mode, the closest i get is using command prompt which brings up the log in window, unfortunately it wont accept my password, i cant even write in it.Any suggestions will be most appreciated.

Same thing i bought the comptur of my aunt sonu 2000 vaio. Everytime i logged in it ask for user domain password. i Would just click cancel and i could still use the computer. But i upgraded from windows me to windows xp. The install went well but now that same log in windows pops up. I cant even access the operating system. because it asks for the user name and password. any idea on how to override or create a new password

yo queria preguntarles si sabe la solucion a mi problema. Me aparece tambien el error de interfaz de usuario por que no se a podido cargar RtlGina.DLL o algo asi que me ponga en contacto con el administrador de.... en modo a prueba de errores funciona el pc bien pero el adaptador de red no funciona (Alfa awus8187) 1w creo que ese fue el problema al instalarlo se jodio todo. y me aparecio la ventana diciendo eso.No se como solucionarlo la verdad esque e probado con varios programas y no surge efecto saben alguna opcion fiable? muchas gracias
